North Galena St Railroad Closure

The railroad crossing on North Galena Street will be closed starting on Monday May 20th. The expected closure will be 4 to 5 days. The crossing will be opened before memorial day.

Village Boil Order

The Village of Tiskilwa will be placed under a boil order from Thursday May 9th thru Sunday May 12th.

The Village will be cleaning the water storage tank on the hill as well as the ground tank at the water plant. During this time an isolation valve will also be installed to improve and simplify future work and cleaning of the storage tank. 

The boil order will remain in effect until bacteriological testing, performed by TEST, confirms the safety of the drinking water meets the standard requirements.

Once the tests meet the required standards a notice will be posted to notify residents that the boil order is lifted.

Village Wide Leak Detection

Starting April 24th (4/24) Associated Technical Services will be testing the village water lines to detect leaks throughout the system. Leaks in the system create noise and they have equipment in which amplifies sound by 20,000%. They will be around the Village for the next 3 days until Friday April 26th performing the work. Please be cautious and aware of the workers as they perform their services. Residents should not experience any changes in their water distribution or any changes in the water during their services throughout the Village. Annual Water Hydrant Flushing

Monday, April 15 will be the start of the Village wide hydrant flushing.

During this time customers may experience a slight chlorine odor, cloudy or discolored water and periods of low water pressure.
